About Our Church
our name
Our name of Christ Central Church embodies our commitment of why we gather and for what purpose the church exists: We are a church committed to having Jesus Christ be at the center of everything we do. As a church, we make God’s Word the center of attention, to focus first and foremost on Christ. Our church’s desire is to create an environment: a place, a community, and a family in which Jesus is at the center of worship.
vision statement
To be a community that is connected with one another through Christ
The vision of our church is always focused on the people of the church. Everything we do is geared towards raising up a community who follow and look like Jesus Christ. All the ministries of our church focus on raising up all generations of faith to be like Christ in his obedience to the Father and to be a people who spread the love and message of Jesus Christ.
mission statement
Love God (Christ-Centered), Love Others (Build Community), Serve the World (Outreach)
Our mission statement comes from two specific passages in the Bible. The first passage is found in Matthew 22:34-40 in which Jesus explained the greatest two commandments: first to love God and second to love others. When combining these commands with Jesus’s last command he gave to his disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), we see that our duty as a church community is to love god, to love people, and to serve the world. Through fulfillment of these commands, not only will people come to faith but also God will be glorified.
core values
Accountable – We strive to ensure that we are reliable and responsible in all areas of our worship. We value the ability of our church to honor commitments and promises. We will take ownership of decisions and address mistakes to the greatest extent possible.
Compassionate – We will always show kindness through anticipating the needs of others and will act in a way to best meet those needs. We will show respect and courtesy to all people no matter their personal background or belief. We desire to maintain an engaged and focused personal presence of all who join our worship.
Teachable – Our church aims to be humble in all circumstances. Rather than being dogmatic, our goal is to constantly be learning from one another in order to better suit the needs of our community. Although we have our core beliefs, our stance is one of learning and acceptance.
Serving – We belief that God has called us to a compassionate service to this broken world by alleviating suffering and fostering development in our community. Through this service our aim is to introduce people into a personal relationship with God.
What We Believe
God is Good
God is benevolent, kind, and just. This belief can provide people with comfort, hope, and a sense of meaning in their lives.
Nothing is Impossible
With God, all things are possible. This idea is based on the belief in a higher power who is omnipotent and can intervene in the world in ways that are beyond human understanding. we believe that through faith and prayer, we can receive divine guidance and support in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges. However, it’s important to keep in mind that everyone’s beliefs and experiences are unique and may differ.
We are Significant
Humans are often considered to be created in the image of God and imbued with special qualities or abilities. This significance can take many forms, such as being entrusted with the care of the natural world, being called to live a virtuous life, or having the potential to attain a spiritual connection with the divine. Ultimately, the idea of human significance to a deity is a central tenet of many religious traditions and provides meaning and purpose for those who hold these beliefs.
We Do Life Better
We believe that having a relationship with a higher power or spirituality can bring a sense of comfort, peace, and purpose to their lives. For some individuals, this connection can help them find meaning and hope in difficult situations, and can provide a support system in their journey through life. Everyone’s relationship with spirituality is unique and personal, but for many people, it can be a valuable part of their overall well-being.
Worship is a Lifestyle
Worship is indeed often described as a lifestyle, as it is a way of living that expresses devotion and adoration towards a higher power or deity. Worship can involve a variety of practices, such as singing hymns, praying, reading scripture, and attending religious services. For many people, worship is a daily practice that informs and guides their thoughts, words, and actions, helping them to live in a way that reflects their faith and beliefs. Worship can be a powerful source of comfort, inspiration, and guidance, and can help individuals to develop a deeper connection with their faith and with the divine.
